Obviously punching people is a bad thing, but one can hardly not sympathize if he imagined the american waddling around heil-hitler-ing random germans minding their own business.

i had a friend who waited for German visa for about 2 years, but when he finally got it he made the same shit at the airport. He was sent back and banned forever. Idiot of 80lvl Edit: got a lot of comments. He didn't wait for 2 years, he got rejected several times and finally got his visa 2 years later his first visa issue.

i don't advocate violence and hope that the dude who punched him is caught, but you'd have to be an absolute fuckwit to pop a roman/nazi salute in the middle of germany without expecting to be hit. hopefully it knocked his brain cells back into gear

> drunk > 8:15 in the morning That alone deserves a good punch to the face. **He probably was screaming all night long**. Edit: people please I am aware that we party until 6-8 here in Germany, however read the last sentence.

Isn't it a pretty regular occurrence in various German cities for tourists (usually British and American) to get arrested for making Nazi salutes for pictures and so on? I remember reading about one guy who thought it was a good idea to do the Nazi salute *in front of the Reichstag building*. Some people really don't help themselves.

Dear German people. Thank you. From an American who hates Nazis

Sorry Germany, we didn't mean to send you our garbage.

He should have done it while Dynamo played and he probably would have gotten away with it unharmed.

Drunk middle-aged American acts like drunk teenager. Is sought for breaking the law. His assailant is also sought for breaking the law. The individuals are not identified, for privacy concerns. I hope I live long enough to see this kind of level-headed behavior prevail in America. I'm admittedly not too fond of banning speech or symbols, but one could make a moral case for public drunkenness/disorderliness. In any case, the situation itself is preferable to how that kind of thing goes down here... National news, everyone involved publicly identified, a bunch of extremists screaming at each other.

I'm against beating up anybody *but why are people so stupid and do that in Germany?* Shouldn't Tourists know that doing the Nazi salute is a *very bad* idea?! Or haven't they heard that it's illegal to do so?

Some people like that really need experience something like [this]( . **WARNING**, do not click if you are eating right now

What a completely fucking idiotic thing to do in Germany. They treat Naziism the same way we *should* be treating Confederate revivalism. With disgust.

So my dad has a lot of business in Europe, so he goes to Germany quite often. I used to make nazi jokes about them when I was very young and just learning about Hitler. He gave me a stern look and started talking about how Germans are such amazing people, and if I ever met one and he even found out I made such a comment to them I'd get my ass beat. Talked about how no one can change their history - but the Germans are trying to distance themselves from that dark time whenever possible. Just a random personal anecdote.
