Because I was asked so many times how someone can start with photography. Here is an answer I replied: I taught myself everything I know using Youtube and a LOT of inspirations from other photographers. My current gear is a7rii and mostly the 2470gm lens. I started with photography 5yrs ago and am spending almost every evening with processing. On weekend I go out and shoot. Often together with my girlfriend and son. :) Some hints: - try to copy stuff you like in the beginning. The more you copy the more you will find your own style that differs from the shots you like - get a prime and don’t buy a zoom. The prime forces you to see with your eyes and not with your viewfinder and zoom! This is VERY important. Long time i only shot with 35mm and nothing else. - Don’t try to go to “special places”. Shoot what you see every day and try to make this special. - Buy a cam you ALWAYS can have with you: Em10, x100f, rx100v. Only buy a bigger (more expensive) cam if the small cams do not fulfill your needs anymore, but this will take a looooong Time. Trust me. - Process EVERY day one shot. Even though it is not a great shot. Just try to work on it. Limit your processing to a maximum of 30mins. If you need more, it is not worth it!

Found my new PC background. The depth and fog really add a sense of mystery. Amazing picture.

To my vast surprise, that picture gave me an erection. Not my penis. My left little toe. I felt it tingle and become erect within the first moments of looking at the pic. I didn't even know it can do that. I guess what I'm trying to say is great pic.

Why do the German forests look so mystical compared to the boring Dutch ones?
13 Oct 2017 22:07 - +3
I can almost see the Romans slowly marching through it...
13 Oct 2017 22:04 - +2
Do you have this photo with higher resolution? :)
13 Oct 2017 21:57 - +2
I misread that as puppies and not poppies and had a moment of wondering what horrible evil I had stumbled upon on reddit. ... Great picture. :)
13 Oct 2017 17:00 - +2
Ooh. I like this one more.
13 Oct 2017 22:26 - +2

I feel like there's a shard of the Traveler sitting somewhere in there.
13 Oct 2017 21:44 - +1
Great photo, it’s got so much depth to it. Any chance of a higher resolution?
13 Oct 2017 23:01 - +1
Walking through there you would expect to see little folk. Id be expecting a hobgoblin or gnome to pop out at any moment. The scenery has a sort of magical quality to it.

This reminds me of the cover art for the album “Daisy” by the band Brand New
13 Oct 2017 21:57 - +1
That's where I'm from! I love that forest, it's probably my favourite place to be. And right next to it is the equally amazing Neckar valley. Shame I only get to visit them about twice a year
13 Oct 2017 21:38 - +1
What type of trees are those?
13 Oct 2017 22:05 - +1
This looks like the setting for a horror movie. Pretty, but I'd shit myself if I saw a guy in a dark robe while I was walking down that path.
13 Oct 2017 22:43 - +1
I lived in Germany for two years, while in the American Army. One of my most vivid memories is running through these dark forests during training. So many times, especially near dawn or dusk, I was not expecting to see other members of my training group, but that of something much more unexplainable. There were many times that it felt like I was watched by something. Not necessarily a feeling a fear, but that of curiosity. Magical.
13 Oct 2017 22:08 - +1
If somebody photoshopped a ring wraith on his horse into this photo I would honestly be like "ah yes, I remember that scene".
13 Oct 2017 22:56 - +1
Germany and its countryside is so fascinating to me, swamps and big forests and mountains and the ocean and all ...not to mention its beautiful aguricultural areas....swoon.
13 Oct 2017 21:32 - +1

13 Oct 2017 23:19 - +1

13 Oct 2017 23:22 - +1

13 Oct 2017 21:58 - +1

13 Oct 2017 22:28 - +1

13 Oct 2017 22:16 - +1
please don’t tell anyone about Heidelberg...it’s too beautiful to become popular 😂. Man I love that place.
13 Oct 2017 20:10 - +1
I would totally buy large prints of photos like these to decorate my home with. I love just staring into the image, imagining myself surrounded by the scenery, I'd probably get no work done due to constantly being locked in a day dream though...
13 Oct 2017 22:18 - +1
Is this the third frontpage post of yours in less than 48h?
13 Oct 2017 20:13 - +1
Went to your profile hoping to find a dark photo after I saw your poppy picture. Great work!
13 Oct 2017 22:23 - +1

13 Oct 2017 20:16 - +1

13 Oct 2017 22:33 - +1
It feels like you could hear the silence. Love it.
13 Oct 2017 20:45 - +1
If the mushroom was aalice in Wonderland, this one makes me think of Red Riding Hood. Like the wolf is just waiting around the corner.
13 Oct 2017 22:38 - +1
Such a beautiful photo and location.Dreamy and atmospheric.
13 Oct 2017 21:13 - +1
I can so picture little red riding hood going down that path while the wolf quietly lurks in the shadows..
13 Oct 2017 22:41 - +1
How cool is this photo? It’s number three overall with a misspelling in it’s title.
13 Oct 2017 21:26 - +1
