And they've only ever played against Lebanon and Morocco.

It would be awesome if their goalie had a mask that looked similar to the headpiece. Although it would probably break the rules in some way.

*"Good evening, Canada, and hockey fans in the United States and......Egypt?"*

I'm an Egyptian and honestly I didn't know this existed.

Finally, the secrets of the pyramids revealed! They were hiding giant ice hockey rinks inside all of that stone insulation!
13 Oct 2017 19:37 - +6
/r/hockey would like this.

I expected it to be from the description, but when I looked at the pic it kinda looked like a cartoon sphinx that was trying not to spit out food..
13 Oct 2017 22:07 - +1
I'd buy that shirt.
13 Oct 2017 22:29 - +1
This is they first time I've ever said "that's pretty fuckin' dope!" about something, but I stand by it!
13 Oct 2017 22:39 - +1
That's actually the real Egyptian mask.
13 Oct 2017 22:43 - +1
Should have taken the ears off.

As a Canadian and a fan of ancient Egypt...words cannot describe how giddy this makes me feel.
13 Oct 2017 21:47 - +1
Quite a few of them belong to the same hockey club, Anubis, which has a [pretty cool emblem itself](https://i.imgur.com/epycKhP.jpg). Given Egypt's history, as far as club names and logos go, their work is cut out for them.
13 Oct 2017 22:41 - +1
Ice...Egypt....does not compute.
13 Oct 2017 22:30 - +1
That's fucking metal.
13 Oct 2017 22:32 - +1
My dad worshipped hockey. My mom didn't. That's why she moved to Egypt, where there's not a hockey rink within 1500 miles.
13 Oct 2017 22:36 - +1
Nice repost.
13 Oct 2017 22:11 - +1
And majority of the roster is part club Anubis
13 Oct 2017 22:11 - +1
I guess Happy Gilmore's mom couldn't get away from hockey after all.
13 Oct 2017 22:37 - +1
They play the Pyramid formation.
13 Oct 2017 22:27 - +1
Being Egyptian-Canadian, I’m both super happy this is a thing, and little embarrassed that I had no idea this is a thing.
13 Oct 2017 22:28 - +1
They have a club called Anubis. Fucking awesome.
13 Oct 2017 22:28 - +1
King Puck
13 Oct 2017 22:36 - +1
has potential but needs a lot of cleaning up
13 Oct 2017 22:31 - +1
Does this mean Happy Gilmore's mom had to move again?
13 Oct 2017 22:38 - +1
I hear Jamaica has a bobsled team too
13 Oct 2017 22:29 - +1
Does this mean Happy Gilmore’s Mom is coming home?
13 Oct 2017 22:39 - +1
But the coolest *name* ever for a hockey team is a minor league team from Georgia, the Macon Whoopies.
13 Oct 2017 22:37 - +1
I thought Happy Gilmore' s mother went to Egypt because there isn't a hockey rink for 1500 miles. Maybe this is the one 1500 miles away.

I prefer the Milwaukee Admirals old logo. https://www.google.com/search?q=milwaukee+admirals&client=safari&hl=en-us&tbm=isch&prmd=nimv&source=lnms&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwif9eH_3O3WAhVn8IMKHXu-BT4Q_AUIEygC&biw=375&bih=553&dpr=2#imgdii=EQ8He_jMJgnJsM:&imgrc=MjzPFjoZk9JV4M:

Do you ever see something and wonder if they worked it backwards? Like they made a cool emblem, but realized it wouldn't have any worth of it weren't implemented.
13 Oct 2017 22:26 - +1
Haha I'm sorry man but that looks awful
13 Oct 2017 22:09 - +1
Hoping they've got some merch
13 Oct 2017 21:58 - +1
That’s cultural appropriation. They should die.
