/r/facepalmfacepalm obviously satire.

I think they still used psilocybin mushrooms for ceremonial purposes back then

If you show me a video of Jesus walking on water, I will show you a video of me doing the same. Until then we will have to take these claims on faith.
14 Nov 2017 23:26 - +1
How about I have faith you’re an idiot?
14 Nov 2017 23:51 - +1
This is such a cool fact. It reminds me of the stories my grandma told me about growing up without any family because Einstein hadn't invented general relativity yet.

I've walked on water many times in my life. It was winter, but still.

[Here's three people doing it, not hard](http://www.fotothing.com/photos/bd3/bd33f332fb5e7811888527e75b76eb75.jpg)

Oof burn
14 Nov 2017 23:35 - +1
Hey I’ve seen plenty of illusionists walk on water. Jesus was just the David Copperfield of the time
15 Nov 2017 00:57 - +1
or he could write about it in a book and wait 2,000 years, it’ll be much more believable then
14 Nov 2017 23:50 - +1
Technically Jesus didn't say he walked on water. Witnesses attributed the act to him.
15 Nov 2017 01:28 - +1
Yeah he really set himself up for failure with that post. I’m religious and even I can’t explain how he walked on water or if He truly did. I have faith that He did walk on water but I may never prove it.
15 Nov 2017 00:46 - +1
"Its true because its in some book". .
15 Nov 2017 00:19 - +1
Cool, so I just have to have faith a priest won't diddle my kid in his rectory?
15 Nov 2017 00:57 - +1
Theists demanding evidence. How cute
15 Nov 2017 00:54 - +1
You really think a religious person would do that? Just go on the internet and say things that are not good arguments?
14 Nov 2017 23:19 - +1
Logic...
15 Nov 2017 00:29 - +1
This is starting to sound more like The Believers from Marvel everyday...

I was working the other night and a customer asked me if I was a Christian. I was a little timid to answer that I was actually an atheist, but I did. The guy proceeds to tell me that I should dare God to come into my life and I will see a difference. People who believe cannot fathom some one who does not. I just said I would try because they just don't get it.

Well, during Jesus' time all fluids were non-Newtonian (because Newton didn't exist) so everyone could walk on water back then.
15 Nov 2017 00:38 - +1
It also shows a definite lack of any kind of reasoning ability.
15 Nov 2017 01:22 - +1
Can you not repost?
14 Nov 2017 23:41 - +1
Show me a video of Jesus walking on water
15 Nov 2017 01:27 - +1
Why in God's name would you purposely join this group? To beat your head against the wall daily? I seriously doubt a lot of people on the fence are the ones on there.
15 Nov 2017 00:29 - +1
The initial question shows a definite lack of understanding where atheism is concerned.
15 Nov 2017 00:26 - +1
There... there are so many better ways to go about this... why did you have to pick the ***WORST POSSIBLE ARGUMENT TO USE?!*** Just... gah!
15 Nov 2017 00:11 - +1
yes, if its frozen
15 Nov 2017 01:16 - +1
I'll write you a book telling how I did it, and how you're going to burn in eternal agony if you don't believe me. Will that do? Or should I arrange to have a bunch of guys who I've never met write it decades from now?
15 Nov 2017 00:47 - +1
You can walk on water right at home! [Here's a video](https://youtu.be/dycpIPTFJ04?t=1m7s) on how to walk on water.

well, when water freezes.. you can walk on it.
15 Nov 2017 00:58 - +1
What is this r/atheism
15 Nov 2017 00:40 - +1
I still think that myth is probably about coastal quicksand, favourable weight to sandal-size ratio....and of course fishermen's tendencies to exaggerate stories over time.
15 Nov 2017 00:03 - +1
Who can't?
15 Nov 2017 01:05 - +1
😂 I’m a believer in Christ but that was a good burn. Well played
15 Nov 2017 00:19 - +1
Holy crap I can see the fedora tip.

That religious asshole got rekt on a spiritual level.
