89 Dollars? Is that how much it costs? What do you get with it because that’s a lot of money!

I feel for gamers, but they are the ones that have allowed this to happen. By supporting EA, they have basically told them "Yeah, we'll kick and scream, but we'll pay you whatever you say". EDIT - Additionally, why would ANYONE pre-order a digital game anymore?

$89 for one character? Really?

This makes me sick. I'm an old school gamer who remember the uproar when dlc first started. And when we found out that games secretly included the content from day one which was later released as paid DLC. Things are much worse now.

Wanna hear a good EA joke? Pay $86 or be my slave for 86 hours and I'll tell you!

Does anyone remember how collectively against EA Reddit was when the whole Sim City DRM thing happened? I feel like we forget so fast...

I think it began in GTA Online. A single car can cost $50 worth of in game money. What makes a single car worth $50? That's as much as the game itself. That's preposterous. What makes a single character? Absolutely nothing. It's a rip off, and when a gambling element is introduced it's downright wrong. It targets children with unknowledgeable parents and preys on people with addictive personalities.

EA really shit the bed this time -- I've bought EA games in the past, but I won't buy their games ever again.

So what about racing games that locks cars behind a money system where you have to earn money to drive the best car in the game?

I am not gamer but can cheat codes and stuff unlock them without paying ?

Stop being addicted to a particular "franchise". (notice that word? It's a business term.) You liked the story as a kid. Now they are just raping your wallet for nostalgic feelings. Why let them use your good feelings and memories to line their pockets when you know it's a steaming pile? It's your decision to give your money or to keep it.

Wtf

But does the $89 include pride and achievement?
