Declining an on-camera interview makes me think maybe he's humble. The type of guy who does good things merely for the sake of doing good things. Or he's severely anti-social/insecure. Who knows?!

Interesting fact: little critters on fire are actually one of the ways wildfires spread. Imagine a flaming bunny hauling ass out of the fire into dry brush like a tiny fireball. Then multiply that by all the bunnies and squirrels in an area. Source: My mom who used to work for the fire department.

"Excuse me sir could we interview you for your heroism?" *Shit I'm so high and they can totally tell I gotta get out of here*

Almost made me cry. Such a beautiful act of kindness and decency.

Uuuh. Interesting fact. This was recorded by RMG News (top left corner). That is one of the stringer organizations that work in LA. They are one of the main people in the Netflix doc series "Shot in the dark". It's really, really good. Hope this doesn't sound too much like a shill.

This doesn't make me smile :( Just makes me realize how much of animals & wildlife are fucked, in an already drastically declining habitat.

Some heroes wear rescue a rabbit from the flames. Legend. It’s nice to see, he didn’t feel the need to be interviewed for his good deed. That is a rare occurrence.

I'm not saying this was a right or smart thing to do, but sometimes In life you will have to make a split second decision from which you cant turn back from. I doubt he will regret this choice.

[](/happystarlight)I don't know who you are, but I wish I did. You seem like a fucking awesome dude, bunny hero.

If that guy reads reddit and sees this.. You are a magnificent human being! I hope you have the most wonderful and fulfilling life until you die peacefully and without pain at an old age. I wish more people were as compassionate and caring like you. Never stop being awesome!

What a fucking guy!

I'm just wondering how did he even spot it. He was driving, it's dark, and everything is silhouetted against the flames. I probably wouldn't have noticed anything smaller than a dog in such a situation.

Awesome to see people show compassion to animals. I try to make this choice every day and never choose a lifestyle that causes harm to animals :).
