Look at it this way: you get a bunch of extra seasons in a year, just scattered around randomly.

I walked outside yesterday and thought to myself, "wow it's really warm," so I checked the temperature and it was 30. I've never felt like more of a Michigander.

I ~~love~~ ~~hate~~ have a complicated relationship with this state

The really great part is that, for those of us in Michigan, we didn't even change the kind of clothing we wore. "Snow? Meh." "Oh, look, the snow melted. Meh." "Damn. More snow. Meh."

Drove to school in the pouring rain this morning, it was maybe 40 degrees out. ~8 hours later I’m leaving and it’s snowing and 19.

Honest question. Does everyone think their state changes seasons/weather fast? I live in Utah, and people always talk about it. As if we’re the only place where it happens… Does it just happen everywhere?

I really hope summer falls on a weekend this year!

I guess everyone forgot about Canada, it's pretty much the same thing rn
13 Jan 2018 11:52 - +41
your drainage is amazing

Moved to California after living in Michigan my whole life. Moved back after 2 years. Aside from the expense, I found I was getting super depressed. Turns out that although I don't want to battle nature every day, I do like it when nature fucks with me just a little bit. Keeps the relationship spicy.
13 Jan 2018 10:11 - +35
+/- 60 degrees meh 😐
13 Jan 2018 10:24 - +35
I'm jealous of your place tbh.

I just moved up here from Alabama in August. My students keep asking me if I hate these winters yet, and my answer is a resounding no! Even with having to learn to drive on snowpack/ice on the fly, and having to shovel my driveway, I'm totally in love with winter up here. My only disappointment is that there haven't been any campus closings to give me implicit permission to go build my first snowman since 1993.

I woke up to the sound of rain this morning. I hit the snooze for 10 minutes then got out of bed, opened the blinds, and saw a goddamn blizzard outside.
13 Jan 2018 12:28 - +21
I tell Texans how crazy Michigan weather is, that I’ve seen people swimming, a tornado warning, and snow in one week. Now this week here in Texas it’s going to be 28 degrees one day and a few days later 70 degrees 🤷🏼‍♀️
13 Jan 2018 11:24 - +18
Fucking michigan eh?
13 Jan 2018 11:28 - +17
For Jan 11th you should split the picture and add some rain ☔️
13 Jan 2018 10:21 - +17
Should really change the name to Snowigan
13 Jan 2018 12:17 - +15
A couple days ago in Wisconsin we had a high of ~60 and a low of 12 so I can relate to this
13 Jan 2018 12:52 - +12
Exactly the same in New York. It went from 0 to 62 to 11 in a week
13 Jan 2018 13:04 - +11
You had time to mow your yard?
13 Jan 2018 14:04 - +9
Where did it come from? Where did it go? Where did it come from? Michigan’s snow
13 Jan 2018 11:45 - +8
We've had one yes, but what about second winter?
13 Jan 2018 09:46 - +8
Honest to Goodness it's fucking Indiana too.

What people call seasons, we call weekdays
13 Jan 2018 09:32 - +7
Same here in Dimondale.
13 Jan 2018 12:42 - +7
Is this real? Seems off to me.
13 Jan 2018 13:28 - +5
Meanwhile in Southern California, I turned on the AC today.
13 Jan 2018 11:41 - +4
We've had about the same in Indy lately. We had snow on the ground and negative temperatures for about three weeks, then two days of 50-60 degrees, and now right back to freezing with a fresh new coat of powder. Frankly, I'm just grateful for the break from the negatives. Felt like summer.
13 Jan 2018 13:13 - +4
God I know this sucks and our governments aren't doing shit about this but... I cant help but hear Tim Allen's voice in my head
13 Jan 2018 12:42 - +4
Honestly, Tuesday cold and snow still on ground, Wednesday rain, Thursday fucking 51 degrees, Friday fucking freezing rain and 14 degrees. Every fucking year. Oh look it's January 27th and it's 70 degrees. January 28: -12 and a foot of snow. January 29: why not it's shorts weather. Every damn year. Oh you want to go to Zehnder snow fest? Tough shit it's 60. Oh World Expo of beer? How about - 4 so you can freeze your ass off. 32 years of living here and I still would not move though.
13 Jan 2018 14:56 - +4
Same here in Quebec!
13 Jan 2018 12:14 - +4
What kind of grass do you have that is staying that green in the winter?
13 Jan 2018 13:20 - +3
Did you mow your lawn on the 11th?
13 Jan 2018 12:10 - +3
I love how confused this state is.
13 Jan 2018 11:38 - +3
The other night I was outside with a hoodie on sitting by a fire with my friends and tonight I was outside freezing using a snowblower. It's crazy, how quickly things can change.
13 Jan 2018 12:04 - +3
Friendly Clevelander passing through- it was 50 this morning. I believe the wind chill is currently -2 and there is a city parking ban
13 Jan 2018 13:26 - +3
Michigan, America's Saskatchewan.
13 Jan 2018 11:43 - +3
Living here is complicated!
13 Jan 2018 12:26 - +3
Grew up in Lansing and moved to Indianapolis. We’ve had the same type of weather this week and it’s made me homesick.
13 Jan 2018 12:27 - +3
Hi from Ohio! We have the same weather in reverse 56 yesterday, snowpocalypse* today! * am from Chicago, snowpocalypse here in Cincinnati is about 3 inches. I miss real snow.
13 Jan 2018 12:35 - +3
Currently high of 70° in VA. Low of 31° tomorrow.
13 Jan 2018 11:51 - +3
I had the exact same sequence here in western N.Y., though my yard is much smaller. Here the forecast was high of 61 low of 12.
13 Jan 2018 13:42 - +3
I spent Tuesday shoveling snow off the roof. The next day everything melted anyway so the work was pointless. Then I started cleaning the gutters, but now they're frozen. I tried, man.
13 Jan 2018 12:26 - +2
NE Ohio has been the same way. It was 60 degrees this morning and then by 1pm it's a blizzard. And now I'm snowed in lol
13 Jan 2018 13:57 - +2
"that one day in january" needs a name. Fake spring break?
13 Jan 2018 12:35 - +2
Weather more bi-polar than my middle school self
13 Jan 2018 13:10 - +2
Ohioan here. I feel you. It was nearly 60° yesterday. Now we are under a level 2 snow emergency.
