My son and I have spent the last two years documenting how he explores his everyday world.

Looks like the beginning of a sci-fi flick. Awesome.

Here is OP's portfolio with more amazing pictures like this: http://www.smallstepsaregiantleaps.com/everyday-world EDIT: link to full gallery

Why do I feel like the reflection is going to move without your kid moving.
14 Jan 2018 00:20 - +761
This is his everyday world?
13 Jan 2018 22:25 - +462
I am from Columbus and these pics make me so happy. Your son seems amazingly sweet and curious. You have a good eye!
13 Jan 2018 22:35 - +293
This is awesome. A great reminder to us parents to stop and let our kids smell the roses.

*documenting how he explores his everyday world* Also known in everybody else’s language as “taking pictures of my son”
14 Jan 2018 01:05 - +138
That title is pretentious as fuck
13 Jan 2018 22:00 - +95
This is a great concept OP. I checked out your website, and kudos on remembering the important things in life.

I bet astrodad makes his kid do all this and his son hates space

What else you got?! When I see a father so perfectly engaged in a child's world, I want to see the gleam in his eye to see if you hit his mark or yours. If little Johnny is manning his own imagination, bravo Dad; but if this is getting you followers on IG be very careful your narcissistic bent doesn't destroy precious moments. Peace.

Is this what "Wonder" was based off of?
14 Jan 2018 01:03 - +76
Not to be that guy, but why wear an astronaut costume to an aquarium? Besides for attention on Reddit, of course
14 Jan 2018 00:59 - +63
What a dumb title. Just say you took pictures of him in an astronaut suit, because that's all this is.
14 Jan 2018 00:20 - +62
In years and years to come the top page of Reddit will be "My dad took pictures of me everywhere in a space helmet"
14 Jan 2018 01:00 - +53
What?
13 Jan 2018 23:33 - +52
Needs more Daft Punk.
14 Jan 2018 01:06 - +47
This is a great photo but it's pretty fucked how you basically turned your kid into your own personal art project. Edit: OP's scummy-ness confirmed. Kickstarter campaign in 2016 raised more than $5k so he could keep doing this bullshit.

I feel like I'm missing something here. Why is this your son's everyday world? Does he have some kind of disability that requires him to wear a space suit all the time? I'm confused.
14 Jan 2018 01:06 - +34
Lol but going to an Aquarium in a small spaceman halloween costume in January isn't everyday world stuff. Feels like this pic was thought out just to be posted.

Somewhat serious question for parenting. Are you a millionaire? How does one afford to find time and money to do this? I read the website's mission statement to remind parents to help kids explore, but can't see myself doing this at all. Do you just have to say, fuck it, drop a bunch of things, and just go on an adventure? Or do you save money slowly, and have to meticulously plan everything months ahead?

This doesn't look everyday.

Must be great to have kids so that you can live through them vicariously by setting up shit like this 😂
14 Jan 2018 01:08 - +19
In other words...here arepixtures i made my child pose for while i acted like he wanted to .

r/fakealbumcovers — This would work well there.
14 Jan 2018 01:05 - +11
It took two years to take a picture?
14 Jan 2018 01:13 - +9
I dont get it
13 Jan 2018 23:28 - +8
I can't even guess how many thousands of pictures I've taken of my kids at the Columbus Zoo and I don't think I've ever seen it this empty. Was it super slow or did you go in early?
14 Jan 2018 00:59 - +7
Brb, gonna make a band and use this as an album cover
14 Jan 2018 01:13 - +5
why do you keep him locked up with a spacesuit in an empty room with an aquarium? At least put in some toys..
14 Jan 2018 00:48 - +3
Check out /u/flooko and his art. This seems like something inspired by one of his amazing pieces.

I feel like I"m missing something from this post.. what is the meaning of someone dressing up as an astronaut looking at fish?
14 Jan 2018 01:16 - +1
You live at an aquarium?
14 Jan 2018 01:20 - +1
Couldn’t find a more confusing title?
14 Jan 2018 01:15 - +1
This is beautiful but I'm legitimately confused by the titled. I've spent 5 minutes trying to understand its relation to the picture. Sorry for my lack of intelligence but someone please help me out here.

He’s been sitting there in front of that tank for the past two years?
