how's he gonna make more white rhinos with those guys always around

this might be a stupid question. is there a female? regardless of that answer, he should be in a zoo either to be the last white rhino in safety, or to reproduce if that female exists. why is it necessary to guard it in the wild if its pointless :/ just to spite poachers?

I understand poachers are the main target here, but would he have any natural dangers?

It's interesting that he is so used to people around that he just chills in such close contact with a bunch of men. OP, /r/HumansAreMetal would probably appreciate this as well.

I feel bad for my future grandkids, so many things around today that will be be gone and forgotten by the time they are my age (30).

Maybe another stupid question, is that rhino cool with those guys? The guards just patrol around the rhino going wherever it goes. Do they have to keep a certain buffer between the rhino, or is the rhino so familiar with those guys it can say whats up and gets some scratches or whatever a rhino does when its familiar with somthing?

I like that shotgun...

So no female white Rhino is there? Coz if not he is last of his kind and we have done it again... If not then that guy needs to get laid....

You know in pictures like these I really do think the animals must be depressed. Animals aren't as dumb as people think they are, it's just a comforting thought we entertain so we can believe we are that much higher above them. Imagine being the only one of your kind, surrounded by the same animals who killed all your friends and family, but knowing that without them you'd probably die too. Last of it's kind, damn.

Idk why they aren't jacking him off on a tri-daily basis and saving it.

I'm pretty sure they removed the Rhino's horn so that he would have less appeal to hunters...
14 Jan 2018 03:40 - +42
So is there any way to save them? If there are only three left it seems like it's too late to prevent inbreeding.

I hope he does reproduce :(

There seems to be at least 3 more in Kenya. > As of 2017, there are only three rhinos of this subspecies left. They all belong to the Dvůr Králové Zoo in the Czech Republic but live in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya and are protected round-the-clock by armed guards. [wikipedia](

It's a sad fucking world we live in when this is required.

All for Chinese traditional medicine. Smh.

That's a pretty beastie looking shotgun.

Man that’s sad. Can this guy bring back the species? Are there enough females? Would inbreeding be a huge concern?

I have a bumper sticker that says “save a rhino, hunt a poacher”. If that was a way to make a living, I would in a fucking heartbeat
