Watched it today with my daughter. It was entertaining and we enjoyed it. It truly is The Godfather 2 of Peruvian bear movies.

inb4 a reviewer waits weeks after the film's initial release to give his Rotten review to drive up web traffic.

...Why? No hate to the Paddington movies, haven’t seen them but have heard they’re good, but out of all movies ever made to be rated on Rotten Tomatoes, why is Paddington, a kids movie about a talking bear, only one of two? Out of all the amazing and critically acclaimed films released, Paddington is the only other one to hit the milestone. Just surprising to me

What's the first?

Where's the sandwich on top of his head tho?!
14 Jan 2018 09:18 - +75
That's because it's a beary good film.

I heard the plot was “Paddington goes to prison” and I assumed it would be absolutely terrible. Got free passes. Took my kid. We freaking loved it. “Better than the first one!” according to my 10 year old.

We're going to see this happen a lot more often. [Critics are converging on the same opinions of the same films at a much higher rate.](

Just watched today with my son. It wasn't half bad, and pretty funny at times. Of course some of the situations were extremely outlandish but it is a movie about a talking bear.

The image says it's the second *family* film to stay at 100%, not the second film in general.
14 Jan 2018 08:46 - +11
what was the first
14 Jan 2018 09:56 - +8
this is incredibly wholesome

Your pic says "second FAMILY film". Your title says "second film".

Let the backlash begin.

Well yeah...the movie is god damn lovely. Dunno if it exactly deserves 100%, but if thats what its getting I most certainly wont take it away!

Well fuck I was planning on sleeping but here I am suddenly watching two Paddington movies I never planned on seeing even a trailer of in the first place.

Rotten tomatoes isn’t a good aggregate. It’s ratings system is binary pass/fail and is owned by Comcast. Can we all please stop treating its ratings as gospel?

*family film FTFY

Really wish the OP had paid better attention to the graphic, or did a minute's worth of research on Wikipedia. (i.e. ) The linked graphic appears correct that P2 is the second *family film* to hit this threshold; the first was Toy Story 2 released in 1999. But overall P2 is the *fourth film of any kind* to reach it. The second one to do it after TS2 is "Man on Wire", a 2008 documentary about a daredevil who in 1974 walked a tightrope between the World Trade Center towers. The third one is "Things to Come," a 2016 drama about a philosophy professor separating from her husband. Honestly, OP ... one minute's research

Lotta people, including the post title, seem to be missing the "family film" qualifier here

Is the film good, or is everyone just wholesome? Either way, good work everyone involved.

What exchange do I buy Paddington crypto on?

So... why does a RT review matter again? It can be 100 for one guy and then be at a 20 someone else.
14 Jan 2018 13:04 - +2
What’s the first film that did this?
14 Jan 2018 13:20 - +2
Rotton tomatoes has never been a good judge of movies.

Saw this today with my wife and niece. Good movie until some asshole started chopping onions in the last 5 minutes of the film. Don't worry, the three year old niece was unaffected.

OK. This is why Rotten Tomatoes is a shitty metric. It measures mass appeal, not quality. Everyone can agree it’s a 7/10 and pretty decent and it gets a 100% Rotten Tomatoes sucks

It's great that parents have movies like this to take their kids too. I'm sure it's fantastic, but I have no interest in seeing it...even if it is 100% at RT.

Saw it this morning. When the credits started, there was not a dry eye in the house. The best surround sound effect of the entire film was the sniffles from every adult sitting around me. AND it was funny as shit. I wouldn't see TLJ twice if you paid me, but I'll go back for more Paddingon 2.
