That's fucking incredible
14 Jan 2018 13:49 - +635
I want to know how many attempts it took to make everything look realistic and comparable in speed.
14 Jan 2018 14:33 - +574
How do you make the wood pieces float in mid air??
14 Jan 2018 13:58 - +273
And likely took a good 3-4 months to make, despite its relatively short length. These things really are a labor of love.
14 Jan 2018 14:14 - +169
Does anyone have a source for this? I'm a sucker for slick stop-motion.
14 Jan 2018 13:44 - +68
Requiem for a Tuesday...
14 Jan 2018 14:34 - +51
That fire in the background is crazy. Didn't even notice it at first.
14 Jan 2018 13:53 - +44
is there more to this? is there a source video with sound out there? dayum
14 Jan 2018 16:06 - +31
[Guldies](https://www.youtube.com/user/Guldies) on YouTube. He’s done some really impressive(but sometimes strange) stop motions. He’s broken Dow; his sculpting and animation as well.
14 Jan 2018 16:14 - +19
*<Sees water>* Guldies? Yeah, [source by Guldies](https://youtu.be/4yG_k2Zlw7Y). His stop-motion is impressive. Another popular one: [Euphoria by Guldies](https://youtu.be/uUtEtUD-sSg)

This kind of stuff really makes me question the nature of reality. What if we're all just made of clay and we're in some sort of truman-esque version of a stop motion movie playing on someone's TV? I'm too stoned for this.
14 Jan 2018 16:05 - +13
CREDIT THE CREATOR
14 Jan 2018 15:11 - +13
So this is crazy, but my roommate just showed me this video saying that his best friend from back home just made this claymation, and here i am watching it on r/all.. what a small world we live in.
14 Jan 2018 14:11 - +11
Sweet! Reminds me of some PES animation! Nice work!
14 Jan 2018 17:22 - +8
As somebody who has recently taken up animation...... Why are you doing this to yourself?!!! I'd go mad if it wasn't for the lerping and tweening, painstakingly capturing *every single frame* has got to hurt. That said, this is some of the smoothest stop motion I have *ever seen*, so congratulations on a job well done, even if you are a bit mental.
14 Jan 2018 13:28 - +6
that was awesome. insanely well done
14 Jan 2018 14:59 - +6
I love how well this animation makes you feel the weight of movements and objects.
14 Jan 2018 15:14 - +6
Maybe it's because I grew up watching TNBC and those other stop-motion Christmas movies as a kid, but there's something I find very nostalgic about stop motion. It's become one of my favorite animation styles (if not my top fav) for that reason, coupled with the sheer ingenuity and dedication it takes to make these films.
14 Jan 2018 13:20 - +6
Wow, that’s rad.
14 Jan 2018 15:20 - +5
What is this, camping for ants?
14 Jan 2018 14:57 - +4
The water effects are insane, almost CGI-like.
14 Jan 2018 14:14 - +3
This made me so happy for some reason.
14 Jan 2018 15:34 - +3
Must be very tedious to make
14 Jan 2018 16:10 - +3
The moment I saw that water, I was sure that this was one of Guldies animations. I've never seen anybody else make clay move like that. Every one of their videos are phenomenal!
14 Jan 2018 15:27 - +3
Amazing
14 Jan 2018 16:05 - +3
The Nightmare Before Christmas.. It took a group of around 100 people three years to complete this movie.
14 Jan 2018 16:36 - +3
Well that's a lot of fucking frames.

14 Jan 2018 16:09 - +2

14 Jan 2018 15:46 - +2
Chop motion animation
14 Jan 2018 16:22 - +2
I wish they'd make stop motion animation games like the neverhood.
14 Jan 2018 15:33 - +2
YES AMAZING I love Guldies stop-motion!
14 Jan 2018 18:59 - +2
Tutorial island looks a bit different
14 Jan 2018 15:17 - +2
Where can I find this Skyrim mod?
14 Jan 2018 16:01 - +2
I couldn't even imagine how much time and work that took. Especially things like the flying wood chips.
14 Jan 2018 15:18 - +2
[Request] Show him cutting up a tiny steak. ~~little~biiits~~
14 Jan 2018 16:11 - +2
I love the way they made the axe seem to have so much weight, it really shows the attention to detail
14 Jan 2018 15:27 - +2
this is fucking amazing
14 Jan 2018 16:36 - +2
dis b kewl
14 Jan 2018 15:39 - +2
I almost know nothing about stop motion, why people here are being impressed by the gif? Someone please explain
14 Jan 2018 15:33 - +1
How did he hide the fish in the water??
14 Jan 2018 15:51 - +1
Amazing. It's just a shame that you kind of need to have an interest in animation to really appreciate the work that went into this. Your average Joe that watches this will just shrug and think it's nothing special.
14 Jan 2018 21:30 - +1
hahaha I'm too high to be watching this
14 Jan 2018 15:38 - +1
I cringed watching this just thinking about how long making this would take. But good lord does it look amazing.
14 Jan 2018 21:49 - +1
Holly shit, the pieces of wood flying... how on earth did they do those.
14 Jan 2018 20:42 - +1
Is this going to be doing the rounds of reddit for a while?
14 Jan 2018 21:55 - +1
All I can think of is Ben Wyatt realizing how much time he wasted.
14 Jan 2018 15:36 - +1
It's so beautiful to watch..
14 Jan 2018 22:51 - +1
[you think a depressed person could have made this?](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/9e/af/2e/9eaf2ec164c86c9af03291ed5586e967.gif)
14 Jan 2018 15:43 - +1
How do I know this isn't just tilt shift photography and the hand isn't really that big?
14 Jan 2018 22:59 - +1
Beings back memories of watching Gumby as a kid.
14 Jan 2018 15:55 - +1
Is this that new movie "Upsizing"?
14 Jan 2018 23:00 - +1
How do they do the mid air pictures for the little pieces of tree bark?
14 Jan 2018 15:19 - +1
Who the fuck has time for all this?

I love this animation but I’m the guy who won’t upvote it because the poster didn’t create it. I’m torn.
14 Jan 2018 14:40 - +1
Smooth frame rate
14 Jan 2018 15:37 - +1
A-MAZING!
14 Jan 2018 14:51 - +1
It’s beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
14 Jan 2018 15:42 - +1
So cool, reminds me of the Pocket God application.
14 Jan 2018 15:01 - +1
What is this, an animation for ants?
14 Jan 2018 15:48 - +1
How to do the 'floating' pieces? Also just like that Disney stealing the sun gif, what's with all these visual FX in whoadude? Miss actual things that made me say 'whoa'.
14 Jan 2018 15:11 - +1
Wtf did I just watch. Mind blown
14 Jan 2018 15:52 - +1
Jesus Christ this has to be the most patient person ever. So many frames.
14 Jan 2018 15:17 - +1
For a stop motion, this feels like it has more frames than real life
