How do people defend this corrupt fuck? Israel would be better off without him.

Dear Israelis of reddit, what percentage of people in Israel support Netanyahu and his policies like settlement expansions? Just want to get a glimpse of what's going on inside Israel.

The last Israeli prime minister who was not charged with bribery allegations by the police was elected in 2003. Our two past prime ministers (the former has been released from prison not too long ago) have both been accused by the police of bribery. Also interestingly the prime minister before those two (Ariel Sharon) had a number of bribery investigations held against him that were stopped due to him going into coma.

I'll never understand how undermining the entire political system and your country is typically a less punishable crime than getting in a serious fight or sexting with your high school girlfriend. I personally feel that anyone who corrupts the political or financial system should be punished with 20+yrs. These kinds of crimes affect thousands (millions) of people.

The same thing happened twice when he was PM in the 90s. Attorney General said there wasn't enough evidence both times. Ultimately, this is up to the AG.
