Last words are generally admissible in court, for anyone wondering.

This happened about 6 miles from my house. It has been all over the news here... They already caught the two she identified. The people that found her stayed with her for quite a while waiting for the medical helicopter.

I hope these two scumbags never see the light of day again. 19 years old. Wow. She was so young.

The 19 year old looks like he is in his mid 30's, and a rough mid 30's at that. The 25 year old looks like she is in her late 30's with a serious case of busted. Is this the power of Meth?

Wonder what situation led to her death. Those two don't really look like someone the victim would hang out with.

This is very tragic. For any of those wondering, these statements are admissible, despite hearsay being inadmissible , to prove who her killers are. > Hearsay is an out of court statement offered in court for the truth of the matter contained therein. This would be a statement offered in court (made out of court) to prove that her killer is the Defendant. Therefore it is hearsay, and must meet one of the hearsay exceptions. > One hearsay exception is the dying declaration exception. In a homicide or civil case, a statement is admissible under the exception if (1) the statement was made under belief of impending death; (2) was concerning the circumstances around her death (3) and the Declarant is now unavailable (and in California, must be dead). Here, she more than likely believed she was going to die. She was suffering from multiple stab wounds, and was bloodied up. The statement was made about her killers, and is now unavailable because she tragically perished. Since this is California, her death allows this statement to be used against the people in question. The reason why this exception exists, is because statements made by people under this belief are more likely to tell the truth, rather than lie. The only problem I can see here, albeit not a big one, is that she had time to contemplate, which creates a prejudicial question of reliability (e.g. fabrication). This probably won't be an issue because its probative value (which is very high) is not *substantially* outweighed by the dangers of unfair prejudice (Cal. Prop 8). Thus, her killers will probably rot in jail like the pieces of shit they are. Such a tragedy.

Jesus fucking Christ. Stabbed her to near death and dumped her...what a horrible way to die. Jesus. Just kill these 2 and dump them in an unmarked grave.

Weird to see Methdesto on the news for a really crappy crime.

19 year old woman? Might as well say teenager. 19 is so young. Poor girl had her whole life ahead of her. That was someone's baby. Poor family.

This is nuts. I read about [an extremely similar case from 25+ years ago] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Suzanne_Capper) just last night. It's always shocking to read about the murder of a young woman, but reading about two with such similarities, that took place almost three decades apart, within a two day span really hits you hard. It's hard to believe so much evil resides in this world.

What a tough SOB. Hope she is somewhere, comfortable and at peace.

No one deserves to die alone. I’m happy someone was there with her until the end. Those people are saints.

Died at the age of 19.

My mother's friends were murdered back in 1983 and before kidnapped, Judy, wrote her killers name in a clothes hamper lid. If it weren't for that who knows if her killer would've been caught. The man that committed the crime killed her, her young son, and her husband. There's an article here about it, the trial and her killers execution. http://legacy.decaturdaily.com/decaturdaily/news/050923/death.shtml

I got stabbed stopping a home invasion in '16, and the cops went over the scene with a fine-toothed comb (since he got me twice, it was ruled attempted murder), and they found all kinds of DNA evidence. Sadly, they never got the guy, since he either left the area, or hasn't been picked up for anything since then, but if he does, and it gets cross-referenced, he's upper-case-F fucked. Since the police in her case have presumably done the same, AND they have her statement, those two are upper-case-F FUCKED. Terrible that she died like that though, but goddamn, I could barely drag myself 50 yards without vomiting and passing out, and that was just from the side of our garage to the back patio, I can't imagine a 100 yards, through the kind of terrain she was in. That young lady was a fucking BADASS. Hope those two get whatever the maximum penalty they can receive, stabbing someone is one of the most vicious ways to kill, and she fought through all of that to at least let someone know who did that to her. The sheer will it took for her to hang on that long is astounding. Rest in peace, you were one tough customer, young lady. :(

That's a pair of steel cojones and desire for justice right there.

This was very sad. It happened in my hometown. And the location where the woman was found had no cell phone service so the article that said she called police didn’t mention that she had to drive 20 minutes out of the ravine to get cell phone service again to call police. I don’t know if anyone else stopped to help her or if she was just bleeding out waiting for help. The victim was just about my daughters age, too. I can’t imagine what the family is going through.

They caught those 2 fuckers down the street from my grandfather’s house; s2g I think they got high on meth, met up with that poor girl and psychosis from the meth made them kill her. Modesto is nicknamed Meth Mountain, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was triggered by smoking or snorting drugs and the jealousy in that crazy bitch just overflowed and they went crazy. It’s so goddamn horrible, no one deserves to be tortured that way; it’s amazing that she managed to hang on long enough to tell the paramedics who tortured her.

Similar thing happened near me, woman survived being doused with gas and set fire to, dragged herself half a mile (first the wrong way!) down a dirt road where she was found, and gave a man who found her the names of the people before expiring. RIP Celeste Fronsman.

What an evil story

A real shame that she didn't pull through. When someone fights that hard and doesn't make it, it seems even more unfair

Seriously thought that guy was in his 30s.

His happened in my hometown. What a strong girl to be able to pull through and make sure those assholes get what they deserve.
