The 80s was apparently a bunch of punk ass kids with bikes fighting monsters and aliens and shit with slingshots and bicycles and big ass flash lights.

Your childhood friend group is very diverse. Pics of my childhood friends and I look like they were taken at a hitler youth camp.

Love this picture. Gives me a sense of peace somehow, seeing all the innocence and comradery.

Madison is such a cool city and very bike friendly. One of a select few platinum rates bike cities. Look up the bicycle recycle. A great shop run by a great guy with a lot of passion. Keeps a lot of bikes out of the landfill. Does a lot of good for the community, especially Darbo! Wish* there were more reasonably priced shops like that around!

HELLO WISCONSIN!!!!

Badass bikers. I trust these kids to protect my quiet town from the unspeakable eldritch horrors that lurk beneath our blissfully unaware suburban paradise.

I can imagine this as an 80's tv show about a roudy group of kids solving mysteries in their community. From left to right 1) Leader's little brother "Junior-junior or JJ". He gets in trouble a lot, but is incredibly loyal to his bigger bro. He looks up to him and copies everything he does. 2) The leader Jack Rue. He's always concocting plans, and schemes but at the end of the day he's a good kid. He's brave, funny, confident, and always ready for action. 3) the comic relief Covino. Always sees the positive in things. Sometimes annoys the people around him, and he's a bit of a coward, but the he's also really sweet, and funny. 4) The second in command Kennedy. This guy knock heads with the Leader a lot, and they sometimes get into heated fist fights but when all's said and done The second in command and the leader are best of friends. 5) The only thing missing is a smart, sassy, tomboy-ish girl who always puts the boys in their place. Her name would be something like Hannah, or Dorothy.

I could have been the BMXican of your crew

Don’t get me wrong I love technology but I’m sad my kids won’t get to experience this like we did. Life before all the computers, phones and gaming consoles. You got to experience the world and create your own narratives.

Sick ass Peugeot on the left, the second bike looks decent and it goes downhill from there. Poor kid with the '60s hand-me-down Schwinn.

My God...its kids outside! This takes me back.
14 Feb 2018 14:50 - +18
Good for you. I haven't made any friends yet and I'm 9th grade
14 Feb 2018 12:32 - +18
All those bikes look sick. I miss 80's bike fashion. Who decides bike fashion?

Wow. Just got crazy nostalgia trips to being 9-10 years old riding my bike around with friends where the only problems I had in life were trying to find the tire pump and arguing over who gets next life in Call of Duty 2.

Where is this located? I feel like I recognize the location. West side, east side?
14 Feb 2018 14:28 - +9
Damn I wish I had a picture with my crew. I’d have a friend on the front bars and a guy on the back pegs holding on. Those were the first days of freedom for us.

Deeply nostalgaic...if only I had known we could never go back
