The classic 'thumb in front of the lens'. in 2018.

I don't know the link for this, but there was this one video of someone's dad I think with a camera on a stick taking a video tour of Paris or some city and he's got the phone camera backwards and it's on him the whole time. There's one time where he goes to take a selfie and that's the only time you see a shot of the city. Funny.

Or he wants to take a selfie and can't figure out how to work the front facing camera. Either way, throw something at him and hello him out. *Siiiiiiiigh, help. But it shall stay.
17 Apr 2018 07:44 - +96
Why you didn't you help him?
17 Apr 2018 05:26 - +51
So help him?
17 Apr 2018 05:13 - +41
Classic mistake
17 Apr 2018 07:41 - +39
No matter. I can all-but guarantee that he wouldn't have ever looked at the picture again.

Once had to tell a lady that she had take her phone off camera to take a video, (this was after she was holding it up to trying to record the singer) so she put it on video...I ended up just pressing record for her because she held the phone up on video without it recording

He’s stuck in a loop
17 Apr 2018 08:26 - +20
I sell phones and people like this are pretty common. It's kind of sad really

Says the guy filming vertically.
17 Apr 2018 08:28 - +11
Well it took him like 6 seconds to find the proper app, so he likely pissed.
17 Apr 2018 08:13 - +10
We've all done something that could match this. Shit, I didn't realize I had 2 pairs of sunglasses on my head today.
17 Apr 2018 05:41 - +10
Probably easier just to help him instead of recording him for recognition.
17 Apr 2018 08:19 - +9
Turn it sideways, then it will work.
17 Apr 2018 05:49 - +7
Did you help him?
17 Apr 2018 08:27 - +7
17 Apr 2018 06:06 - +7
. . . Yeah I don't know if you can help that . . . If this dude can't figure out what's happening here I just see the rest of life being moderately difficult at best.

That was one of the benefits of the G3 Circle Case, flip open and it still leaves the camera available. The downside of course being that it provided absolutely no protection to a circle sized area of your screen which magically attracted anything damaging.

He must have had a black out

Complete melt trying to take a photo at the match. Sit down and enjoy the game lad, plenty of cameras around the ground taking care of that.

Laugh now fahkers, you’ll be the butt of this joke someday.

There was this time my dad was using his new phone and he started to record on my grandmother’s birthday party. After a couple minutes, he approached me to ask me how he could stop the video he was recording. Oh boy, he never clicked the red button to start recording. He saw the party in the viewfinder and assumed he was recording. I have to admit I started to laugh, but then I explained him what has happened, and he laughed as well. Even though cameras are a thing since a lot time ago, having a digital representation of what you’re recording is kinda recent (by the time this happened to my dad was even more recent), so I don’t blame him for not understanding what he was doing wrong.

I provide tech support services and a lady came in with this exact same issue today but for her tablet. She left the store laughing when I showed her how simple of a fix it was.
17 Apr 2018 10:55 - +2
You should have helped him out instead of filming him.
17 Apr 2018 08:46 - +2
This literally happened to me 5 mins ago. Was trying taking long exposure photos in the dark and they just came out completelly back. Happened twice before i got it.
17 Apr 2018 06:46 - +2
He’s had a few probably

This reminds me of this "photographer" I saw over the weekend at the Long Beach Grand Prix. He had media credentials, and you can tell because they have vests on with "media" and their ID number on it, plus they are allowed into the same area as the track marshals, basically just closer to the track. Anyways, this guy turns on his camera and looks through the viewfinder. He then pulls away from his camera and looks extremely confused. He forgot to turn on the camera. He then looks again, and again pulls away extremely confused. He messes with some settings, changes the mode he's shooting in. Looks through the viewfinder again, and pulls away one more time very confused. HIS LENS CAP WAS ON THE WHOLE TIME. Dude looked like he never held a camera his entire life, but he got a media pass somehow.

iPhones users at it again... No matter how easy Apple makes it for them, they will find a way to make it harder.

I've done this, then promptly looked around to make sure nobody witnessed my rookie mistake.

So my ex's mum did this exact thing. I used to work for carphone warehouse so she asked me to take a look at her phone. Obviously there's nothing wrong so I asked her to take a photo. She felt so dumb afterwards, she was really embarrassed.

Looks like something I'd do.

Time to patent a phone case design
17 Apr 2018 08:35 - +1
People like that should put the phone in the box and ship it back, because they're too stupid to use it anyway.

17 Apr 2018 10:09 - +1
Bloke. This word brings back so many childhood memories. My dad once had a really cool gps that could have different accents and voices and we would take it with us on road trips all the time. Then one day we decided to get an Australian accent. I thought it was a cool idea. We drove on with it and not much happened until my dad made a wrong term. Once he did, the gps said... “TURN AROUND YOU BLOODY BLOKE!” We all sat upright in our seats. This was language extremely unexpected from a gps. We have since lost that gps. But it’s memory lives on in our inside joke about it...
