For some reason my little brother loved to bite these things in half

They kinda fell apart after a while and left grainy rubbery thingys around and definitely had a smell to em

Saw a kid bite one in half and it shot down his throat and almost died. Same kid shit a turd down and out of his shorts in the hall once and kept on going like nothing happened. I bet he's in prison now

I always wanted to bite these.
17 Apr 2018 05:50 - +235
coarse*
17 Apr 2018 05:04 - +127
Yeah man it was almost like a softer sandpaper

I used to play mini hockey with these for hours every day. I'd be goalie and throw these against the walls and try to make the save on the bounce back. Amazing that I could get so much entertainment from a 25 cent toy.

I lost like 5 of these in my mom's gutters.
17 Apr 2018 06:23 - +40
These were awesome to chew on

[They are still a thing, I'm literally holding three of them right now.](https://i.imgur.com/LeGSoe6.jpg)

Yes -- looking at this picture evokes a smell memory and a texture memory.
17 Apr 2018 06:55 - +31
They were slightly greasy
17 Apr 2018 05:38 - +25
I had the ones with the loose particles of glitter inside!
17 Apr 2018 08:02 - +22
They smelled almost as good as official troll dolls
17 Apr 2018 07:01 - +19
I remember the sound of chewing on them
17 Apr 2018 06:18 - +17
I'm sorry to admit that these bad boys were a staple of my childhood diet.
17 Apr 2018 07:38 - +14
My brother had a kit to make these.
17 Apr 2018 08:34 - +14
Did we all secretly live the same childhood? Why did we all bite these?!?
17 Apr 2018 05:29 - +11
I went bananas for these bouncy balls
17 Apr 2018 07:03 - +10
Does anyone remember the arcade machine that would drop one of these into a maze-like structure that you could tilt? Depending on where you steered the ball, it would dispense more rubber balls as a prize. [This thing](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/2d/Bouncy_Ball_Machine.JPG).
17 Apr 2018 06:28 - +9
The texture bothered me.

Anyone know where I can buy one? I used to be obsessed with these for whatever reason. Edit: Found them on [Amazon](https://www.amazon.com/Bounce-Balls-2-tone-Colors-Gross/dp/B004N078EE/ref=pd_sim_21_38?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B004N078EE&pd_rd_r=3JYASMN2JK8QSP4RFVRQ&pd_rd_w=OisGX&pd_rd_wg=FAEI5&psc=1&refRID=3JYASMN2JK8QSP4RFVRQ). Also found these [glow in the dark smile face balls](https://www.amazon.com/Glow-Dark-Smile-Face-Balls/dp/B002EV23GC/ref=pd_sim_21_2?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B002EV23GC&pd_rd_r=WH0XMNFG4WCNZQGJH0NH&pd_rd_w=prmLe&pd_rd_wg=WrhAg&psc=1&refRID=WH0XMNFG4WCNZQGJH0NH) which take me back to the 90s arcades and skate rinks.

Scraped off good under the fingernails
17 Apr 2018 06:50 - +7
And the greasy feel and smell. I could almost smell that greasy plastic smell just by looking at this picture.
17 Apr 2018 08:49 - +5
Fuck yes. I loved breaking them with my nails. Satisfying.
17 Apr 2018 08:28 - +5
I preferred to press my nails into them
17 Apr 2018 06:22 - +5
I worked at a mom and pop party store and between 5-9 pm when the owners left us with the cool night manager, we would be at war with each other between the aisles with these balls
17 Apr 2018 06:53 - +4
Oily sandpaper
17 Apr 2018 07:22 - +4
Still get one every time. They’re so collectible
17 Apr 2018 08:53 - +4
anyone else remember the billions of tiny rubber fuckheads in your mouth after biting these?
17 Apr 2018 07:10 - +3
These things would fly a country mile if you hit it with a bat
17 Apr 2018 08:03 - +3
What? They still make these, they're everywhere.
17 Apr 2018 08:50 - +3
I always had the urge to bite into them. *spoilers* I did.
17 Apr 2018 08:14 - +3
Mm remember how they felt between my teeth
17 Apr 2018 08:13 - +3
They sparked my love of matte texturing. Nothing else comes quite as close.
17 Apr 2018 09:14 - +3
Coarse, amiright?
17 Apr 2018 08:04 - +3
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_bx8bnCoiU hell yeah
17 Apr 2018 10:27 - +3
I bit one of these as a child, just to see what would happen. I had a weird burned plastic sort of taste in my mouth for days after haha.
17 Apr 2018 06:21 - +3
Or rubbing 2 of them together
17 Apr 2018 06:24 - +2
I always tried to squeeze them as hard as I could, not sure what I was expecting, maybe I thought I could squish it or something?
17 Apr 2018 08:44 - +2
It was worse when they were wet.
17 Apr 2018 07:42 - +2
Oh and the smell, the beautiful smell!
17 Apr 2018 07:44 - +2
The quarter machines that are in pretty much every supermarket
17 Apr 2018 08:28 - +2
I would bite chunks out of it because I’m weird
17 Apr 2018 08:25 - +2
Yes and the smell lol
17 Apr 2018 08:56 - +2
Yea I remember, I chewed on them too
17 Apr 2018 08:26 - +2
It was chalky, but it wasn’t
