Trump has reportedly halted new sanctions against Russia: Trump has halted the implementation of new Russian sanctions, just one day after United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley said that new sanctions were coming.

> Trump reportedly lashed out at aides after the US expelled 60 Russian diplomats last month, and he is also said to have told aides not to speak publicly about tough measures against Russia that he approves because he does not want to upset Putin. I don't have any more respect to lose for this guy

All the sarcastic and smug comments ("I thought Trump was a Putin puppet?!?!") coming from people in the original thread about the sanctions aren't aging well.

Oh, weird! Comey was just saying that Trump would never criticize Putin, even in private. Who knows why Trump would do this? What a mystery!

I honestly can't tell if Trump is being controlled by Russia or if he is just so desperate for Putin-senpai to notice him.

How long can America let this farce go on? When your leader has so blatantly been compromised by an enemy state, it seems absurd to just casually wait years for findings of investigations without doing anything at all.

just yesterday people were posting about how trump can't be in russia's pocket, look at the diplomats he expelled and the sanctions he's imposing. oh look at that trump made you look like a moron, just like he does for all of his staff when they lie to cover for him and then the very next day he contradicts them and makes them look like morons. don't forget trump didn't implement the sanctions congress passed like 6 months ago.

I got downvoted almost twenty times on an article yesterday for saying we should wait to applaud trump for sanctions until they’re actually in place. So very surprised to see he yet again went back on his word.

I'd like to see how the right comes swooping in and try to justify this flip floping Oompa Loopa. He is as credible as a 5 year old telling you he didn't draw on the wall, crayon in hand.

Nikki Haley is one of the few Trump appointees I respect. I don't know if I'd ever vote for her if she ran for office, and I'm sure I disagree with her on quite a bit, but I respect her. Trump completely threw her under the bus, and made her look like a goddamned idiot. It's usually understood that when a person like the UN ambassador speaks (or any cabinet official) they speak for the President. From what I understand, she's the type of person who carefully crafts her message so her announcement wasn't without first talking to Trump. There's no chance Trump didn't give her the green light, she went ahead as planned, then Trump changed his mind after the fact. She will have a much, much, much harder time being taken seriously by anyone going forward.

And yet some people think there is no collusion with Russia.

He's compromised by Russia. And so is Fox News. Russia > Trump > Cohen > Hannity > Fox News viewers > T_D Hannity obstructed justice and tampered with witnesses and must be indicted.

“Did I do good, Mr. Putin?”

Maybe he's looking for Russian help with the 2018 midterms. They would be more inclined to help if the administration doesn't do anything that directly harms them too quickly. Though I think it's possible they would help anyway, since they may see Democrats winning Congress in significant numbers as an existential threat. Or it could be pee pee tapes.

Those prostitutes better have shat on him and not just pee played for all this.
