My 18yo foster son just learned that he is getting a 100% free ride to a 4-year college. First in his family to ever go to college. I am so, so proud of him. (70 comments) |

Now that's why I come to these things (124 comments) |
I wonder why they picked those last few windows to install at the very end.
[No, you didn't.](https://i.imgur.com/KYAtUrq.png)
The stabilization in this gif is top notch. /u/uhlexo did a great job. edit: misread the name :P
No you didnt. You literally took the same title to repost this from r/gifs.
Well done capturing it! The weirdest thing about the tower itself is that it's nearly impossible to escape its looming presence almost everywhere in the city. I'm tempted to make a joke saying that r/erections would appreciate this, but I won't.
The tower going up in the background is mesmerising
NOW THE SALESFORCE MAY BE CALLED WHENEVER CRIMES Is AFOOT.
I love the construction, but given my experience using Salesforce products in the past, i now dislike it with a passion.
God, I wish we had California's weather here. Every frame looked so nice.
HOW DO THEY GET THE CRANES DOWN AT THE END?!
How do they move those cranes up the skyscraper and then get them down when finished?
OP stole this pic
What software did you use for making this?
Just like SimCity.
Can someone explain to me how they get the crane down after completion?
Your good weather to bad weather ratio is super nice.
Oh my god. I had an apt. with full view of that, there were two cranes that looked like arms.
Hey, /u/icorrectotherpeople. /r/quityoubullshit https://reddit.com/r/oddlysatisfying/comments/8cr9et/i_took_a_picture_of_salesforce_tower_every_work/dxhh97l?context=3 Such an ironic username
It’s called the Salesforce Dildo
He did, you didn't
Thats one of the coolest things I've ever seen
Nice
My SO helped work on this! Thanks for making this, it’s really cool to see the progress
Had a field trip here about a month ago. Their elevators get you from the lobby to the 10th floor in under 30 seconds.
Why not just come up with your own title you lazy fuck
Now they're *literally* a company based in the clouds...
I kept seeing the name Sales Force in passing I finally had to Google it and read the Wikipedia. I never would have guessed they were a cloud computing company...wtf...I thought they were some kind of contract sales company... That name sucks.
It would be cooler if you weren't a pathological liar.
My cousin moved high up there and now makes a shit ton
Living where you live, doing the lords work
How could SF approve such a hideous alteration of its skyline? Now it looks like Dubai
I honestly stopped paying attention to the tower going half way through and was watching the other building going up in the background.
Bless you
I was like wow they're putting the windows on real quick, then they weren't windows, then they put on the windows, then I wasn't sure they were the windows, then they were the windows for sure this time.
Saleshorse
Damn...that was built in a year? It's taken a state contractor that long to build a simple highway overpass in my city.
Must not be Milwaukee, but that building going up and the one to the left sure looks like Northwestern Mutual in Milwaukee
That escalated quickly
But how does the crane get down?
Weather seems nice there.
And my university can’t even complete a parking garage in 6 months
WTF they build them bottom up?
This was a timelapse and it STILL felt like it took forever.
Serious question: how tf do they bring the crane back down after the building is complete?
Has "How it's Made" ever done a 60 minute episode on skyscrapers?
You...you never took a day off for a year and a half?
Was this taken from the Cudahy?
I always wonder if I’d have the persistence to do something like this if given the chance.
What are they using to fertilize that thing? Wow.
Huh, I always thought they built em from top to bottom....
I always wonder, when watching a tower get enclosed w windows Why do they leave one or two out for a while? Did they break that one and the windows are all numbered? Did an installer just skip a window frame and nobody catches it for a few weeks? Just wondering...
You can see sorrow in this pic as the days of the flag at half mass flutter by.
Oh damn there's a second tower being built too.
Damn, that's awesome
Why can’t they do this with the world trade center, and rebuild
So they started from the bottom, huh? Interesting choice.
My hubby is an Ironworkers in San Francisco and I just showed him this. He said it’s the best thing he’s ever seen “on the web.”
Ayy just build lol
I'm doing the same thing, except it's just taking pictures of myself. I'm almost at the one year mark yay!
Guess it takes a lot of real estate to house all those shitty designers and engineers
This could be a subtle Cialis commercial
No I took the pictures
love how at the end the building just zips up like a jacket
That zipper window job at the end though 😍
It's sunny where you live
This gif is reversed, they are actually taking it apart
No snow in a year and a half. Must be nice.
We need more of this and less of Trump’s stories with Putin
Congrats on that solid one level
And it never rained...
...you went outside every day for a year?
