I thought for a second it said Ajit Pai was arrested and I almost had a salvation experience.

Broadband Advisor > Elizabeth Pierce allegedly tricked investors into pouring $250 million into a fiber optic scheme by forging revenue agreements Literally advises people on making fraudulent investments.

Goddamn, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York is busy this week.

I can't decide if this is "So much winning we're sick of it" or "draining the swamp".
17 Apr 2018 08:54 - +429
> Pierce was tapped by Pai in April of last year to be the chair of the BDAC, which he formed “to accelerate the deployment of high-speed internet access, or broadband, by reducing and removing regulatory barriers to infrastructure investment. Evidently one of those barriers was honesty. If you don’t have the contracts forge the signatures or [comments ]( She complained about the regulations that said revenue agreements had to be legit. Why is my confidence in the FCC and Pai shaky.

I'm sure she'll learn her lesson with the small fine and suspended sentence. That'll teach her.

You know that feeling in Battleship right between finally hitting a ship and sinking it. That's how I feel right now.

*In her capacity as CEO, Pierce allegeledy raised more than $250 million from two New York-based investment companies using forged contracts with other companies guaranteeing hundreds of millions of dollars in future revenue.* Shocking that someone associated with Ajit Pai could be corrupt..../s

I said it elsewhere, but I seriously hope he dropped and shattered that giant Reeses mug of his in shock when he found out that he and his cronies are not quite as untouchable as he thought.

Ugh damn my improper title reading skills... I got excited
17 Apr 2018 07:42 - +65
Okay... now look at her superiors. You could fill prisons way faster than busting people for pot. C'mon Sessions there is money in the air. Get them, get rich and finally do something decent for the people you supposedly represent.
17 Apr 2018 11:11 - +47
99% of people thought Ajit Pai was arrested.
17 Apr 2018 08:07 - +27
Yes, yes; but when are they arresting Mr. Ajit Pai himself, we're waiting with bated breaths. He's an evil conniving man.
17 Apr 2018 11:02 - +25
IMO all people that are connected to approval of Pai as a head of FCC as well as those who support him til this day should be investigated. Their corruption is too obvious, especially Trump's.
17 Apr 2018 11:34 - +25
"FCC Chairman Ajit Pai arrested on fraud charges" Yes!! "Broadband advisor picked by..." I really need to read the whole title before getting excited....
17 Apr 2018 12:03 - +21
I. Fucking. Hate. Ajit. Fucking. Pai. Fuck.
17 Apr 2018 12:21 - +18
his type of stuff will be the downfall of this country. Not a war, not a zombie plague, not illegal aliens climbing a make believe wall… it will be from greed. It seems the only thing truly motivating people now is impossible amounts of wealth. That seems pretty obvious since we would all like more money but I’m talking about more money than people could ever possibly spend in a lifetime. It’s not just good enough to be wealthy, it’s like a game to people now. The type of game where you’ve bought everything there is to buy and now you’re just trying to see if you can fill up the money bar to $999,999,999,999 just because you’re bored. Corporate greed trumps human interests hands down. These cell phone, cable, and tech companies just seem to want to hoard money with no plan to use it to improve the experience for their customers. Even Apple which I’m a big fan of is just piling up money by the trillions and it doesn’t even phase them when they are threatened with losing trillions of dollars in tax practices. I’ll be lucky to get a job that pays over $65,000 in my life and I will always be struggling pay check to pay check as I support my family but I’m happy with what I have. These people though are just on another level of greed and corruption. It really makes me sick to hear stories like this.
17 Apr 2018 11:36 - +10
He better be next. That fucking smirk has corruption written on it. Once trump can’t protect him, he’s fucked.
17 Apr 2018 08:17 - +9
kinda sucks that justice is only delivered if you pay enough
17 Apr 2018 11:13 - +8
They should keep arresting advisors until they include Ajit Pai.
17 Apr 2018 09:55 - +8
He's Mark Zuckerberg's brother-from-another-mother-ship

I love justice! Source: am cop.
17 Apr 2018 10:55 - +7
yes but pai wanted, “to accelerate the deployment of high-speed internet access, or broadband, by reducing and removing regulatory barriers to infrastructure investment” by hiring her, and clearly just writing in stuff like signatures removed a *lot* of regulatory barriers to her getting money 'n stuff. for stuff.
17 Apr 2018 11:30 - +7
Pretty bad when you get arrested and the headlines don't even mention you, just that you're connected with Ajit Pai. Is he now more-hated than Casey Anthony?
17 Apr 2018 11:26 - +6
That moment when the administration's shit reads like cards from the draw pile in Monopoly
17 Apr 2018 14:25 - +6
I saw "FCC Chariman Ajit Pai arrested on fraud charges" first and almost had a heart attack. The good kind.
17 Apr 2018 11:28 - +5
I’d say we’re finally getting one slice of the Pai closer!
17 Apr 2018 11:12 - +5
"...FCC Chairman Ajit Pai arrested on fraud charges" So close
17 Apr 2018 11:16 - +5
It's poorly worded. I thought the same thing and was happy if only for a moment. Using the name Ajit Pai is irrelevant to the story.
17 Apr 2018 11:02 - +5
Can't drain the swamp if you don't fill it up first.
17 Apr 2018 11:14 - +5
I am shocked that someone that was a Trump appointee's advisor is corrupt. Shocked I tell you!
17 Apr 2018 10:09 - +4
Ashitpai fucks up again
17 Apr 2018 08:19 - +4
I guess that Blockbuster/Russell Crowe museum may stay open a little longer.
17 Apr 2018 10:24 - +4
For a second a ray of light shone down through all this tragedy and injustice on my faith in the system.
17 Apr 2018 12:53 - +3
I believe the current administration is being criticized/watched much more closely than their predecessors. Although it creates some instability, it's doing a very good job at weeding out the corruption we're so used to. Even if they weren't the best choices, it should deter any future candidates that are less than honest. Most that lean left might not want to admit it, but Trump seems to be indvertently delivering on that whole "drain the swamp" thing in a different way. I've never seen Americans pay attention to politics like they are now, and all that attention seems to be damned effective at exposing corruption on both sides.
17 Apr 2018 11:48 - +3
Now let's see if we can't get the man himself!
17 Apr 2018 14:06 - +3
Let’s not forget who appointed Pai. It goes all the way up the ladder.
17 Apr 2018 11:54 - +3
All my mind wanted was "Ajit Pai arrested on fraud charges"
17 Apr 2018 11:30 - +3
I wish i could hear that news again for the first time.
17 Apr 2018 13:40 - +3
Ajit Pai and corruption? How surprising! Fucking piece of shit cunt.
17 Apr 2018 11:47 - +3
If only the first four words were omitted
17 Apr 2018 14:15 - +3
This is clickbait at its finest. I bet 50% of people who read the title thought that ajit pai was arrested because it's the only name present in the title.
17 Apr 2018 10:37 - +3
Okay, for those of you wondering, the adviser in question is named Elizabeth Pierce.
17 Apr 2018 12:04 - +3
LOL THIS IS THE BEST FUCKING DAY NEWS CYCLE WISE SO FAR. I mean for fucks sake not one, but two high profile douchebags were hit hard. One with fraud charges. FUCK YOU SEAN HANNITY.
17 Apr 2018 12:25 - +3
What?! Can't believe it.
17 Apr 2018 11:36 - +3
This made my day even if it wasn't AJ going out in cuffs.
17 Apr 2018 10:28 - +3
What exactly is Pai up to lately anyway? We lost the battle for a free internet, when are we going to feel the brunt of the loss? Or has it begun already in a small way?
17 Apr 2018 10:27 - +2
totally common in republican admins.
17 Apr 2018 10:22 - +2
